Copyright question about the Asset store

So I pay is for a few asset in the store, and I would like to know would it be ok to edit the script. I'm not talking about reselling after edit, I just talking about editing the script or copying a part of a script and then put it into a new script. would it be ok?

Plz help.

When you purchase the license to an code asset, just like a model, you gain full rights to use the code in a build. You can modify it all you want or as little as needed. That can go into a commercial product build without any problem. Some products may vary in part and you'll need to check your read me files to ensure there are not sections under another license. There should be a notification of this included by whoever you bought it from.

You should be fine, especially because you paid for it and are making it your own.

If people can get away with buying starter packs and releasing them on Steam without changing much of anything, you're fine.

As is though, just check the licenses and make sure that you aren't missing anything. If/when you release something, you want to make sure that all grounds are covered just in case the off chance of the person who created said asset comes calling.
