Primitive Nitro Effect
I am trying to make a nitro effect and I'm trying to make my camera load the edge blur effect when my speed goes above a certain point.
var speed : float = 0.00;
function Update () { GetComponent("EdgeBlurEffectNormals").enabled = false; var other : Driving; other = gameObject.GetComponent("Driving"); speed = other.currentSpeed;
if(speed>50)
{
GetComponent("EdgeBlurEffectNormals").enabled = true;
}
else
{
GetComponent("EdgeBlurEffectNormals").enabled = false;
}
}
This is the script made for my camera, it's suppose to get the currentSpeed variable from my Driving script and if it bigger than 50 it should load the said effect, but something is wrong and I can't figure out what. Every tip is welcome :D

I'm not really sure whats is wrong, but try opening the EdgeBlur Script, and make the range (or whatever variable it uses) and make it static. Then, in the speed camera script, have something like this:
if(speed>50)
{
EdgeBlurEffectNormals.range = 20; //or what ever it is set to now
}
