How can I ensure my android app will run on 2.1 (Eclair)?
I have been working with unity Android Pro for the last couple of months and have just recently been unable to successfully install a build on our testing device. I've been assured by the unity android dev team unity supports all 2.x OS versions, so my question is:
Are there specific steps that need to be taken (either selecting certain options in the player setting or avoiding certain functionality) to ensure that my game will be supported by the 2.1 Eclair android OS?

You need to see this thread. Unity certainly does not work on all 2.x devices!
You need to choose in the build settings, between using a Device Filter of "ARMv7" or "ARMv6 with VFP". I suggest leaving it at ARMv7, otherwise people with ARMv6 devices can download and install the app, but most will find that it crashes on launch.
