Open Game Application in Unity Editor
I have got a Game Application (.exe) of a unity game, but I want to open it in the Unity Editor to create new content.
I unpacked the .exe with winrar and tried to open the files from the "_data" folder which came out of it. There are unity.dll files, maps etc. but I can't open anything as project or scene. Is there another way to open it with the Unity Editor if I do not have the original "Project"?

If you want to "create new content", then creating it from Editor and rebuilding would be the way to go. Otherwise, this feels like pirating attempt.
The problem why I need e.g. an original map is the scaling.
I already messaged the original creator and asked for the project files as I don't want to pirate stuff or want to look like doing that. So I understand your point.
$$anonymous$$y intention was to be able to start already and to show it, without throwing it over again afterwards.
It is possible, but, you wont be able to edit the game data from editor anyway. In best scenario you will be able to get chunks of code and art. But it is considered pirating as you understand, nobody with permission to the project would do that.
Alright, so I should just be patient and wait until I get permission+files from the developer then.
Thank you^^
