Problem is not reproducible or outdated
scripts skip themselves from time to time
This is a very simple question but I have noticed it many times in my games. When a script is set out to do something (like update a score), it does it most of the time. But sometimes it just randomly doesn't do it, then it does it the next time. What could be the cause of this problem?
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
I feel like the question is too vague, your update score could be anywhere in your code. If you're updating the score manually, you might not be updating it at the right time; if it's per update, there might be a condition that prevents it from updating. Also, sometimes Unity doesn't compile properly and it is really rare, in that case, sometimes restarting unity resolves the problem.
Like the 2 gentlemen before me said the description of the problem is really vague. If this was really happening in Unity, I doubt anyone could make a working game with it.
If you can reproduce the problem with a simple script, please post the script in this question.
Thanks for the ideas! I posted a much more detailed version of my problem in another question of $$anonymous$$e. I still haven't got any answers yet though. Its titled score text skips updating or something like that.
