Track players position in a race
Hi,
I have tried to use ray casting to setup a players position in a car race however to no avail as I end up with a very buggy and inaccurate distance calculation system due to the angles the rays are shot.
Is there an alternative way to get this system to work, I have had a suggestion to use checkpoints at regular intervals but how would I calculate the distance without casting rays as this would be inaccurate depending on the angle.
I am using c# any suggestions would be much appreciated.
