unity 5 crashing when downloading from asset store

HI I'm new to unity, however when I try and download or Import assets from within unity 5's asset store window the whole program is freezing. It basically gets to 100% then the whole thing freezes. I'm running Windows 10 pro and Unity is running as Admin.

I'm trying to download some of the free assets

anyone any ideas?
