How to export a GameObject without UnityEditor?

Hello,

I need to export a GameObject that has many children in .obj format. I can't use the Unity Editor since I want to run the application outside the editor as a standalone.

I tried to use "ObjExporter.cs" from here: http://wiki.unity3d.com/index.php/ObjExporter However, only a simple cube shows up in the exported 3D object.

What should I do to make it work?

Any help is highly appreciated.
