How to get mobile device audio output?
Hi,
I'm trying to find a way to access the data of a mobile device audio. The only thing I can do now is get the Mic input data, but I would like to use the output data such as playing music in the background.
This is to make an Audio Visualiser for the music that's playing in an external program. I really hope someone can help me with this, any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Tim

The closest you can get is using this Visualizer API, using which you can retrieve part of the currently playing audio for visualization purpose but it only returns partial and low quality audio content.
There is no way for you to retrieve the whole audio output in order to avoid the piracy issues.
Ok thanks for the quick reply, is there any way to access that API from Unity, or do I need a plugin to access it? I'm very unexperienced in this kind of stuff...
You need to write a plugin to access this Android API. $$anonymous$$ore details on writing plugin can be found at: Plugins
