Water4 and shadows

Water4 Pro doesn't receive any shadows whatsoever, not from terrain, from trees or from any type of mesh.

As you can see from the enclosed image, the shadows, thrown across the bay, have no effect upon the water at all. The shadows stop abruptly at the edge of the water.

Is there a way of accomplishing this?
