Will WebGL support WWWObject?
I have the Beta version of Unity 5. There are currently some issues when exporting to webGL and disabling anything to do with Network seems to help. I was just wondering however if eventually webGL will support things like WWWObject?
For example, I want my webGL game to be able to load files from a folder which resides on the same server as the game itself.
Will that be possible?
Cheers
That would be rly nice to know. I have project which is using the solution of http://wiki.unity3d.com/index.php/Server_Side_Highscores.
ui and GUI elements not showing up on the webGL build which runs on a local xampp
on the local unity server "localhost:xxxxx" the webGL build shows the ui and gui elements but with the default content, so that it looks like that it can't pull the informations out of the $$anonymous$$ySQL-DB
in unity5 editor play-mode erverything works correct, ui and gui showing up with the content of the DB
I'am using unity5 beta 18.
Edit I cleaned the Browser cache and the build folder of unity and know everything is working.
@grimmy Reading from the DB like its in the wiki is working in WebGL with unity 5 beta 18. So it seems that the wwwObject will be supported in WebGL.

The Unity WWW class is supported in WebGL (with some security restrictions in place). There is a page in the Unity 5 Manual on networking which describes this very well.
