Alternatives to OnGUI.
I have recently grabbed a package from the store. Its Called Dialogue or something along those lines. And i have set it up to handle quests but it doesn't seem to work correctly right now. The quest entries exist but i have no idea how to get them to display on my screen in either of the four corners when each one is active. Has anyone ever dealt with this unity package before? I must say it is worth having but I'm having trouble figuring some of it out.

The one and only GUI option is NGUI.
Or wait for 4.6 to be released with Unity's new built in GUI.
There is also EZ GUI. Don't spread propaganda please.
NGUI is pretty much Unity standard. 4.6 uses many of the principles developed in NGUI.
If you aren't in a hurry to ship the Unity 4.6 beta is available. Works quite well.
I have NGUI. Haven't quite figure it out yet. I'm basically just looking in a nutshell to display text on certain events such as approaching a door that's locked so u know you need a key and go as far as displaying current quests in a top corner until completed.
is co$$anonymous$$g out soon, so might as well wait a bit for the release. ALternatively, get the beta.
I might just do that but for now however I have managed a workaround that works fine :) So thank you for your answers and i shall see what unity 4.6 holds :)
