Catching object in multiplayer
It there any way to catch an object spawned by player by Instatiate in multiplayer (when every player can spawn his own object from the same prefab)?
I mean, 'catch' is a bit of a loaded word. Do you mean 'catch' as in 'notice other client's actions on a server', or are you talking about exception handling? Are you talking about making sure that when a player instantiates an object, it is synchronised on all clients? Or are you talking about a literal throwing and catching game (in which case, this isn't really a multiplayer question at all)?
Yeah, i was wrong using word "catch"... I just want to put new object into a variable.
@FractalTree Is the variable already declared or do you need to make a temp var to hold the object for a certain amount of time? It seems like it shouldnt be too hard to change an already existing var on the player. If you need a temp var to update over the system, try rpc calls. Im not sure on your architecture, but it should be relatively the same to the http://unity3d.com/support/documentation/Components/net-RPCDetails>ref..
