duplicate terrain and change painted tree asset of only the duplicate
Hello- My goal is to duplicate a terrain 3 times that has been covered with a tree asset using the brush tool. I want the tree asset on each of the duplicated terrains to have a different bend factor and opacity thus leaving a transparency trail on the trees from the wind blowing.
I have duplicated and renamed the asset hoping to apply a different bend factor and opacity to each duplicate and swap them on each of the duplicated terrains. Every time I swap the asset it is changed across all of the terrains. Any help would be great!
Sounds like you're using the same TerrainData object for each terrain. $$anonymous$$anually duplicate the TerrainData asset (it gets created automatically when adding a terrain) and assign the duplicated terrains their own respective TerrainData assets.
thanks for the response. I have tried this...I have tried using entirely different TerrainData assets, but everytime I swap one it gets changed across all of the other terrains. Any ideas?
did that...renamed it. It is strange. Even when an entirely different terrain asset is used it replaces all terrain assets on every terrain that were generated with he same brush.
