Mecanim IK Feet Placement learning resources

Hi, I have been trying to get feet IK working so my characters can IK on slopes and stairs while walking. Unfortunately I can't seem to get this working properly. I have had a look around the web to see if I can find any resources that might help, most of the information I already know and can do, but none of them seem to be any help with foot IK while walking.

Are there possibly some tutorial somewhere that I might have missed?

I know that some time has passed since this question has been posted, but I am looking into it as well. I haven't found much, still, I'm a total noob in scripting atm so I believe that something which may be useless for me right now may be of use for you:

This guy takes for granted most of the script and goes on explaining a number of problems that arise setting up I$$anonymous$$.
