Opponents Cars in Racing Games

Hello: What i am trying to do is making a racing game.. but i cant move the opponent car? i mean the car should move on the track automatically? i have done this with waypoints and navmesh but it did'nt worked pefectly. is there any other way to do this.Please Help Thanx
