AI researchers considering 3D game simulation - Unity?
I'm an AI engineer exploring a 3D environment for some research in Automated Planning, particularly Goal strategy. One main consideration is that it be able to interact with a rich external JAVA library (which could run Prolog internally) called **GOAL**. I've read that Unity 3D could be massaged into running Java in it's code via this **article**, and wondered if anyone has had any luck in the integration of the two. It would NOT be production level stuff, just proof of concept kinds of R&D. I'd appreciate any commentary on the viability of Unity 3D to handle such a case.
