Asset Bundle question about properties being saved
Hi this is the Auburn University Cyber labs,
We are working on a project to import models/assets dynamically during run-time. We have been successful in finding that we can create asset bundles (using a script before run-time) then take the .unity3d file and upload it to a web hosting site (delete the file extension) and then pull the file with an import script at run-time.
Our import script downloads the assetBundle then displays a GUI listing all the assets in the bundle as buttons, which then allows us to pick the assets we want to load from the bundle. The only problem we are having is when we try to scale and rotate the models and then try to export them, it is not saving those properties (scale and rotation) to the models in the assetBundle. Therefore, when we import the models they are not of the right scale or rotation.
Is there any way to edit the ExportAssetBundles script to save these kind of properties? And, if not, what should the code look like to scale and rotate them in our AUAssetLoadScript?
If you need to see our code for AUAssetLoadScript please request and we will most likely send it through email.
