Lightmapping produces strange results
Hi there, I'n my game scene I'm using lightmapping and probes to reduces light computation for my game. However I'm getting strange results when I increase my Texel size. I was wondering if anyone has any advice to offer to help avoid such results :)
Prebaked (No Lightmapping)
Postbaked (1 Texel)
Postbaked (2 Texels)
Postbaked (10 Texels)
Lightmap Settings (All previous images follow these settings, only Texel size is changing)
My question would be, is this intended? and how would I avoid getting these 'artifacts'. Thanks in advance
I would assume that increasing the final gather rays could possibly get rid of this issue but will have to try and it and post results as it could take a while

This might be more work, but I usually do all my light mapping in my 3d package then apply to your diffuse map in multiply mode. It gives me better control and better quality.

In your 3D package? Not sure what you mean by this.
I'm just a programmer haha
