would it be possible to project a Scene on a plane
Hallo, I search a few times for an answer, but never found one.. So I try it here and now.. I'm a newbie in case of Unity and want to realyse an idea, where it is nessasery to project the scene (with the player and Background and obstacle) on the surface of an 3D object.. it is nessasery, because of the art-style this games should have.
Hope you guys can help me, your sincerly, Chris
I think you might be able to do what you need with render to texture(will render your current camera view to a texture) and then use this texture in a projector. You would need a Unity Pro licence for this method though as the render to texture is pro only...
RenderTexture is the only efficient way to do it, but for a one-time event, you could move your camera to some point of view and use Texture2D.ReadPixels() to create a texture from the camera view.

If you're a newbie, would it not make more sense to focus first on the interactions and effects within a scene before trying something more complex?
The second result in Google (the first being your post): http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/421450/how-can-i-render-a-scene-to-a-surface.html
