How can I display text so that it can be see on the Vive Headset?

So I'm working on a small warning system using the vive and I want the UI text to appear when I look through the vive headset. At current I get the following problems:

3D Text when parented to the eyes / head it will rotate & move about but it won't move with position based on the direction of the headset is moving in, instead it'll work more like a standstill hologram that turns you move around it.

UI Text when parented to the eye / head it will movement exactly in position & rotation with the headset however it is currently only viewable on the desktop camera and won't show up on the vive headset.

How can I fix this?
