Asset store and pro Trial

Hello, I am planning on publishing some assets on the store. They are unity free assets, but can be enhanced with unity pro (this is not a need).

My question is, can I use Unity pro trial to create example screenshots (not actual content) as a showcase for the pro users? All the content will be created in unity free.

Sure if you want to? Be sure to say that it's support Unity's non-pro version.

No you may not. Per Section 1c of the EULA, "If you are using a trial version of the Software, you may not publish or distribute any Licensee Content.".

The Pro "trial" is just that - to let you evaluate Pro features. It may not be used to produce any content, and that includes screenshots of your asset.

And, if you're using Unity Free, I wouldn't personally recommend creating an asset that can be "enhanced" with Unity Pro, as you'll have no way of testing or supporting those features.

well with enhanced I just meant the image effects like bloom, but the asset is not depended on that at all, it is depended on the color of textures. So it is completely for unity free.

But thanks for the heads up, gonna delete the screen shots made in pro and make new ones when I have a license.

As far as I know the Unity Pro Trial has the same functionalities as the full Unity Pro Version. The only "downside" is that its time-limited.

I guess they interpreted the question "can I use Unity pro trial?" to mean "from a technical point-of-view" rather than "from a legal point-of-view"...
