Find position of a character of typogenic text

I need to find a way to pinpoint the position in the scene of a specified character (the last one of the string for example) in a typogenic text. For now I've tried to calculate it, but the result is awful, I'm using typogenic font, any way it can help me?

Edit: I've made some mistakes, before, this is what I need: I'm using typogenic text for writing on the scene a 3d text, what I need is a way to find the position in the scene (world space) of the last character of my text. Doing math was what I've tried but something more fast and clean would be pinpoint the position of that specific character.

Anything can help, thanks

To be clear, you're looking for the Vector3 world space position of the character? Not the index of the character?

I'd suggest getting a font where the width of your characters is a constant, that'll make the maths a ton easier - you just have to look at the number of characters, not the characters themselves. There's a bunch of complications, like word wrapping and where the text is in relation to the transform the text mesh is attached to.

Basically, what you're doing to do is probably really difficult. If you could post the actual problem you're trying to solve, I might be able to come up with an easier solution.

I've made an edit, I'm trying to find the world position on the last character. At this point even finding a way to know the width of each character would be fine, I don't want to use font with fixed char width.

Have you tried digging into TypogenicText? You may want to have a look at the internal method

int GetGlyphIndexAtWorldPoint(Vector3 point),

which basically does the reverse of what you are trying to do.
