Maya, Mudbox, and Unity
Hey guys. I created a model in Maya and textured it in Mudbox. I then put the model back into Maya. Everything was good at that point: the model was textured just like in Mudbox; however, when I try to import it into Unity, the texture is gone. Can anyone help me with this?
I created a random texture in Maya without using Mudbox at all and the texture imported just fine into Unity. So, how come the texture won't import with the Mudbox workflow?
Try import the textures directly from mudbox and then add them as child objects to model in unity
yeah that worked, i had to play around with it a little bit more
I'm glad it worked for you. Now please mark the question as answered to remove it from the unanswered section.

I just figured it out. You have to manually take the Texture from your Materials Folder then drag it onto the Object in the Hierarchy then it automatically detects and applies it to the mesh.
