Collision detection for an initialized prefab
Hello,
I am implementing Rapidly-exploring Random Tree (RRT) in Unity for 3D path planning. I initialed a new node in a for loop and the new node has script to detection if it collides with pre-defined obstacles. If the new node has no collision, it will go to the tree,; otherwise it will be destroyed. However, it seems the sequence is initialization -> add to tree -> collision detection, which makes the collision detection useless.
Do anyone has any thoughts on how to solve this issue? Many thanks in advance.
make it do initialization -> collision detection -> add to tree?
Exactly. If a collision is detected, a new node will be initialized until there is no collision with the obstacle. This is how to compute a collision-free tree.
