Leaderboard scores for cross platforms
I've been looking around for a day on what different services there are to upload your high score online and view others, I've looked at game center, Google Play, Facebook, App42 and others but it's all rather complicated knowing which one is right for the job.
I have a very simple game and want to upload my name and high score when it's over, and preferably I would like something that works for iphones, android devices, pc, (optionally macs and Vita as well), what would be the best ad simplest thing to use in your opinion? Thx
looks cool and free, I'll look into it, kinda lots of documentation so might take a while searching through all that, thx though [Edit] kinda getting mixed reviews on Parse, any other alternative?
[Edit2] :P ok, got my score uploaded online I'm seeing n the overview (30req/s, 1 job) which is free what does that mean? Does it apply to leaderboard scores and such or number of player for cloud games and such, kind of a complicated software :/
.. well giving up, some things don't make much sense and documentation is weird, some code gives me error for very basic things and need a login system to gather player's data and this is just too difficult to use so not gonna be able to use this :(
I found Parse pretty easy. There are other services out there that do the same thing.
bunch of people are saying it's not super reliable and I find it rather complicated; started using app42 and managed to get both upload and download of name and score working in 15$$anonymous$$s with updating of scores and sorting from high to low; on the other hand, i've copy/pasted code from the parse documentation and was getting an error, tried fixing it and wasnt working and understood less and less so gave up
Looks good. Like I said there are plenty of services out there that will do this for you.
