Diffuse not changing color

when i select a diffuse in the inspector, it doesn't show anything other than the shader type. this also happens with other shaders

It sounds like it is hidden away. Try clicking on the grey tab so it opens up. $$anonymous$$aybe im wrong.

Click anywhere on the top portion and any properties will be displayed. For example, click just to the right of 'Bone'.
