Need help getting "Server Reconciliation" to work.
OK. I was given a networking assignment in unity.
The previous assignment was to make an authoritative server and dumb client, and make the client move an object (I know it's beginner stuff, but I am a beginner).
The current assignment is to add client-side prediction, which has been done, and server reconciliation. I completely understand the concept, just am having a bit of trouble understanding the implementation of it. As I know, things like transform, rotation, rigidbody etc synchronize automatically. What I'm confused at is how to say when to say yes to the automatic sync, and when to say don't. The only thing I can think of is unsyncing everything, and doing it manually, but would I need to unsync/sync constantly, or is there a way to do this efficiently.
BTW the only hint I have been given is I need to overload a method/function...
Any tips, hints, examples? Anything and everything is welcome and appreciated.
