Problems installing and running unity

I have installed unity 3.3, but when i click on it to run i get a error which states "Error at location 4 loading image" and does nothing else, when i try and uninstall unity the uninstall program crashes or doesnt even load. i was wondering what the problem could be? My first download could have been interupted, as i left my computer downloading unity with 5 mins left and then left it and came back later to find it was in sleep mode. i proceded to install unity and everything went fine until trying to run it for the first time. I have since downloaded it again and made sure it wasent interupted and installed that verison and still i have the same problem.

in a nutshell: installed unity 3.3, error occurs when trying to load, wont uninstall.

I found out that somehow my firewall or antivirus was blocking Unity from running, I just disabled them and then ran unity and now it all works fine with them re-enabled.

I think the idea is to make that comment an answer, and accept the answer to the question so it's marked as answered.
