Updating Sqlite3 database after new deploy

My application is using a sqlite3 db to hold product information. From time to time new products will be added.

I noticed that updating the app through the ios store wouldnt update the db. I have my database in the Assets\StreamingAssets folder.

I've been trying to find more information on the forums but I didnt find a working solution (for me at least) . Also I tried renaming the database file, but still the new products weren't visible. Not untill a full de- and reinstall.

Anybody have an idea how to force update the database whenever I release a new version of the app?
