Imported Plane Mesh Not Rendering Textures Properly
Here I have a standard Unity plane mesh (left) compared to my imported lowpoly FBX mesh (right).
The two objects are using the same exact texture.
For some reason the imported mesh will not render transparent/diffuse textures properly (like the standard plane mesh). Some textures appear like shown in the picture, for other textures the imported mesh only appears to render a fully transparent texture. Does anyone know why this might be? I am sure it is just a simple and obvious fix, but I simply have no clue on this one.
Thanks.
try recalculating your uv and normal coordinates on import. Its on the object's hierarchy
I tried setting the Normals and tangents to calculate. It did not work. Did you mean something else?

For textures to show up correctly you need to UV unwrap it. The details can almost certainly be found in the documentation for your 3D modeling application.
