Unsupported hash algorithm

When trying to authenticate ssl with an http rest server I recieve an error that begins with, "System.IO.IOException: The authentication or decryption has failed. ---> System.ArgumentException: certificate ---> System.Security.Cryptography.CryptographicException: Unsupported hash algorithm: 1.2.840.113549.1.1.11" I believe it might be this mono bug https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=8788

And I created a pull request on github here, https://github.com/Unity-Technologies/mono/pull/134, though I don't know if it's the right branch, or if Unity accepts pull requests.
