Question by aZn KiLLa 187 · Jan 09, 2011 at 04:43 AM · car-tutorial

error: f < INT_MIN || f > INT_MAX UnityEditor.DockArea:OnGUI()

Hello Unity Community,

I'm trying to follow the Car Tutorial and when I try to open "TheTrack" scene file, it gives me this error, preventing me from continuing with the tutorial. Is there a way to resolve this issue I am having? Thank you for any help.

You didn't say what the error was. You also didn't show us the code that's generating the error.

I open the project "CarTutorial" and under the Projects Tab is a list of folders. Under Scenes folder, there is a scene file called "TheTrack" which I'm supposed to open, and when I do, nothing happens and on the bottom of the screen it gives me the error:

f < INT_$$anonymous$$IN || f > INT_$$anonymous$$AX UnityEditor.DockArea:OnGUI()

Can you edit your post and paste the full text of the error?

I'm pretty sure that is the full error, it's one of those weird internal errors

Is it possible that its because I'm using the current version of Unity, and this tutorial was made with an older version?

I get this error as well. But I only see it when I have the profiler up and the game scene window up in the editor as I am running the game. If I close one of them, the error goes away. I believe the error is related to the Profiler and not your project.

I was getting this error too. So I created a brand new project without adding any assets and only a main camera in the hierarchy. The error appeared each time I would run the game. Then I found this thread and noticed the first answer. My profiler window was open and upon closing it, the error went away. Then for a sanity check, I re-opened the profiler window. Sure enough the error re-appeared. Closing the profiler window once again eliminated the error.
