3ds Max assets importing - missing materials
Hi there,
I'm trying to import a 3DS Max asset (max) file, with 12 meshes & 6 materials. These are all standard materials, named standardmaterial (all of them). When i import the max file as an asset, only 1 material is created & it does not have any of the properties my max material has.
Are there any requirements as to the use of materials in Max for importing them to Unity?
thanks for any help
cheers B

Having different names on your materials would be good idea, because Unity bases Material names on material names in your file. Unity import just a very limited set of properties from materials (like colors and main textures), and you need to select your shaders and properties for them manually in Unity.
Indeed
Apparently, dds texture files aren't supported either?
