Streaming Video In and Out of Unity
I have created a webgame that incorporates multiple video files. As is, I have shortened and compressed the files so that the entire game is 14mb. However, I would like to make the videos about a minute each (8 videos) which is going to be way to big for loading/streaming. Note: These videos are all playing in the same scene at the same time.
I heard I can link to outside windows to stream larger video files but the example I saw opened the new window over the game forcing you to load the game all over again.
Can I connect my larger files to windows that open either in new tabs, or in specific locations while the game stays as is? In other words, if the game is being played I would like to open the video in the lower left side of the screen and lock it so it comes up, plays the video, then leaves. (like The Wilderness Downtown by arcade fire) I know that video was made in html but is there any way to combine the two or do it through scripting with unity. I would like to be able to control the size of the new window, placement, color, timing etc?
So to recap...
Question 1. Can I connect my video files to windows that don't open on top of my game
Question 2. Can I use scripting to control when the window opens/ closes, what color it is, where it is placed etc...
I know it is a tall order but my goal was to make this game with a lot of motion so I don't want infinite amounts of clicking and distractions. I want it to be fluid.
Thanks!
