Help Understanding These Procedural Sphere/Terrain Concepts
Alright, so I've been searching, experimenting, and then more searching about what it is I need to do here. Let me start by saying this: I have a height map, I don't need to make one with some noise library, I got that. I had someone tell me about procedural sphere building from a cube, I also actually saw it in a video from the KSP developers at Unify 2013. What are it's benefits to me? Would doing this cube to sphere method, and then finding a way to attach the height map be the way to go? Or would building the sphere with the height map in blender be better?
