Do hinge joints have dual axis?
I'm using a hinge joint for some skinned soft body dynamics. I really need a dual axis hinge, but when I try to apply 2 hinges on the same rigidbody, each turned on a different axis, the rigidbody just ends up freezing in position (or the movement is so slight that I cannot see it).
I've tried using springs to simulate the same movement, but the spring movement has too much freedom and does not initialize correctly. I could do some fancy matrix copy to get the spring to work, but if hinges had a dual axis setting, then this would be much easier.
After working with this, I realized that the spring joint essentially allows multiple axis springs. The only hitch with springs is that pesky setup when the game is started. because of this you need to make a setup frame that the game pauses on while the spings init, then you can move your figure in the game where you need it.
