A* Formations
Hi,
In my RTS project my Units wimply walk to a ppint and stack there. I've got a few questions about that.
Are there common apporaches to force my units to: a) walk in a closed formation (line, columns, triagnle, etc) b) walk freely but build a formation (see above) as soon as they reached the destiantion c) avoid each other to remove the stacking
I'd be happy to hear some experienced options about this
I'm also very interested in explicit examples for the A* Skript

I would suggest separating the pathfinding behaviour from steering. Let the unit (or its leader) be responsible for finding the correct path. Let the individual units be responsible for following the leader in the type or formation you want.
