Negative Scaling or Separate Models
I was curious if you'll have better performance by using two separate models (one mirrored from the other along x) or using one model and scaling it backwards. Both mirrored meshes will be cloned several times. Any insight on this would be appreciated.

I don't think it really makes a difference so I would go for just scaling it backwards
I'm gonna go with Noah on this. Even if it had overhead, I would think it's probably negligible.
Do consider if any problems will arise from changing the x scale to negative from code using positions or rotations on that object. This may become a pain easily avoided by using the two separate models.
