Game scripts or other custom code contains OnMouse_ event handlers
Game scripts or other custom code contains OnMouse_ event handlers. Presence of such handlers might impact performance on handheld devices. UnityEditor.HostView:OnGUI()
I've never seen this before, and I'm not sure where this is? Maybe in NGUI? The yellow warning doesn't link me to the culprit script(s). The only two addon's I'm using are NGUI and JMO cartoon effects.
Anyone have any experience with this warning?
I've seen the error, and you might be right about where it's co$$anonymous$$g from. Unity allows you to emulate mouse input on mobile (first touch becomes the "cursor"). I've written code that does this, and I've used plugins that do it.
At least on Android, I've never measured a performance problem resulting from this practice. I can't speak for iOS, though.
Thanks for the info Rutter. I'll make a post on NGUI's boards than as a next step.
much related: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/716227/onmouse-event-handlers-might-impact-performance-mo.html - it is not a NGUI issue and I also have no clue why it talks about performance. To me performance is the unanswered keyword on that warning.
