Why don't stepped keyframes work in unity?
I am trying to import an animated model from 3Ds Max with stepped key frames but when I view the animation in Unity the geometry is sliding back and forth. I am using Unity 2.1 which does not seem to have the animation curve editor that newer versions of Unity support. Is there anyway to fix this problem?

No, Unity doesn't yet support import of stepped keyframes.

Unity 3.0 can import stepped curves for positions tracks (but not for rotation or scale yet...).
