Question by DaveA · Jul 27, 2011 at 01:35 AM · monodevelopmachidereplace3.4

MonoDev (Mac) bug? Is command-H Hide or Replace?

This is really annoying, hoping there's a work-around: hit the command-H, what you'd expect is the search/replace dialog, what you get is a hidden MonoDev window! It's an accelerator on both the MonoDevelop 'program' menu, and the Search menu. New in 3.4?

I would never expect Command-H to bring up a search/replace dialog, I would expect it to hide the app like with every other OS X app. It's not new in 3.4.

Ctrl+H = Find and replace. Start+D hide windows =P

Odd. Don't know how Command-H got mapped to Replace if it didn't come out-of-the-box...

Found work-around: MonoDevelop menu, preferences, key bindings, look for Search options then reset Find to (say) control-F and Replace to (say) control-H, more consistent with other os's anyway
