Tutorials for scripting using device camera?

Hi there,

I'm going to be in a position later on where I need to create a kid's app that involves using the front Cam on an iOS device to take a picture of a person's face and then not only save out the picture so it can be used later, but also to apply that to a cardboard cutout object within the app.

Does anyone know where I can find some good tutorials about where to start when it comes to scripting that involves the deviceCams?
