Social.ReportScore not showing up on Leaderboard
Hello unity forums. I can't seem to get my score to show up on my game center leaderboard. The leaderboard opens but the score value is constantly "0". I think I may be doing something wrong in my code:
public bool loginSuccessful;
public int finalscore;
string leaderboardID = "Faxanadu_NES_1987";
void Start()
{
AuthenticateUser ();
}
void Update()
{
finalscore = TextScore.scoreValue; //(this is the script that has my score from the game saved)//
}
void AuthenticateUser()
{
Social.localUser.Authenticate((bool success) => {
if(success)
{
loginSuccessful = true;
Debug.Log("success");
}
else
{
Debug.Log("unsuccessful");
}
// handle success or failure
});
}
public void PostScoreOnLeaderBoard(int finalscore)
{
#if !UNITY_EDITOR
if(loginSuccessful)
{
Social.ReportScore(finalscore, leaderboardID, (bool success) => {
if(success)
Debug.Log("Successfully uploaded");
// handle success or failure
});
}
else
{
Social.localUser.Authenticate((bool success) => {
if(success)
{
loginSuccessful = true;
Social.ReportScore(finalscore ,leaderboardID, (bool successful) => {
// handle success or failure
});
}
else
{
Debug.Log("unsuccessful");
}
// handle success or failure
});
}
#endif
Social.ShowLeaderboardUI();
}
}

I know this is an old thread but it's appearing very high in the Google search results. I had a similar issue. My problem was that I'd configured my Game Center board to have a Sort Order of "Low to High". My initial test score I submitted was "0". And then I tried submitting a "1", expecting the leaderboard to update to "1". It never did, since I told Game Center "0" was better than "1" and it was dropping my score. Set the leaderboard to be "High to Low" and everything started working as expected. Hope this helps someone.

Hello !
My theory is that your scene loops back to a finalscore of zero, because you set your "finalscore = TextScore.scoreValue;" in the Update () method, which is called constantly, even though there is no backup yet.
Try to initiate the finalscore once in the Start () method, and update it only after the new save.
