Windows 8 Custom Splash Screen Image
Hey Guys,
Since I upgraded from Unity 4.3 to Unity 4.5 I can now override the default splash screen in windows apps without using Visual Studio.
So after creating the images for the sizes required by Unity (1116x540, 868x420, 620x300) I did a build of the game to find out that the images were centered on the screen with a black background.
There is an option to overwrite the background colour but doing so causes the build to fail with the following error.
Error building Player: NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
As to what the Null Ref is, it doesn't say.
I'm also still seeing the Unity default splash screen appear after my custom one.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?
Thanks in advance,
John

There's already a bug report for this: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/unity-4-5-error-building-player.248518/, which seems to be closed (so presumably fixed) but not released yet. Until then, change the color in VS.
