I making a game for windows 8

I am making a game for windows 8 but I have windows 7 and it says cant build. Is there a way around this?

Ok one more question. I wanted to enter the windows contest but my game took longer than expected to make. It will be done from 4-6 hours. If I submit my app to the windows store how long will it take to be published. If I submit it now and it publishes after the deadline will you still accept it?

Approval process for the Windows store is not within Unity's control- it is managed by $$anonymous$$icrosoft (and given recent news, there might be somewhat of a delay due to short staff...). It normally takes a couple of weeks.

Contest rules clearly state: "Your game needs to be published on the Windows Store or Windows Phone Store and the last step in the contest completed before the contest end time on July 20th."
