Automatic lightmap texture and material import

Hey,

I probably already know the answer for my question (which is no) but hopefully I'm mistaken.

Is there a way to export models from 3ds max with lightmaps and have them imported into unity with correct material (lightmapped) and correct textures (diffuse AND lightmap) assigned to them?

Currently Unity only auto assigns a standard diffuse material with the diffuse texture, which is already nice but I like to see a lightmapped material with lightmap assigned to the models. This is particularly handy for arch viz scenes with dozens of models which have lightmaps baked in external program like 3ds max. Having to manually assign the lightmapped material and lightmap texture to each model individually in Unity is quite a cost on time.

I did found this blogpost which seems to automate the process through custom scripts, however I can't quite follow it as i'm an artist, not a coder.
