Why does spec map turn object black?
I'm trying to create the Earth, with only the water having any shine. So i add the texture and normal maps just fine, then adding the spec map the water turns black. The spec map i'm using is transparent for the land and 100% solid white for the ocean. What am I doing wrong?
what shader are you using? I can't tell from the screen shot. If it's your own shader, make sure you are adding in the spec on top of the output, not multiplying the color output.
