Collision causes weird effects
I am working on a project for school to modify the Tanks tutorial in unity. When I collide with anything it adds a force onto my tank that is appropriate but this force never goes away. An example would be if the corner of my tank hits a building it then starts spinning in the opposite direction but never stops. Even if i turn in the opposite direction I got sent flying in when I let go of the turning button i start spinning in that particular direction still. I am moving my objects with their rigid bodies not their transforms. Also using fixed update. I do not know where to even begin looking into this since the collision is mainly handled by Unity.

Try changing the drag and angular drag for the tank rigidbody.
Hmm I guess it was the angular drag. It just seems weird since it seemed to happen out of nowhere in the middle of the project even though my tanks have been moving and driving for a while.
