Models From Blender Wont Take Textures
So my artist exported a bunch of models from blender. When imported into Unity, they are blank (grey) models. From what I read, blender doesn't bake the textures into the file when you export. That's fine - so I make a material in Unity, set a texture to it, and go to place the material on the model.
It doesn't work. The model gets a dull color of the texture I applied to the material, but no detail or anything. And I've tried all kinds - diffuse, decal, specular, ect ect. The texture doesn't show. If I made a basic polygon like a basic cube right inside of Unity, apply the material, its fine. But the models won't take any materials/textures I throw at them. Just dull colors.
Any recommendations? I can share the models if necessary. Here is one: https://db.tt/hxVH4sKK The artist applied textures in blender, but he uses the render function for them to show so they won't appear in Unity anyway. But you can throw any material/texture on it to see what I mean.
Have you contacted your artist and had him or her unwrap the model? $$anonymous$$eep us posted.
